In Spanish, the way to say “What is your birthday?” would be “¿Cuál es tu cumpleaños?” Cumpleaños means “birthday” in Spanish. You would use this phrase to ask someone when their birthday is.

The person asking this question probably wants to know so they can calculate how many candles to put on your cake! Or if somebody asked me when my next birthday was going to be without knowing what year it was, I could say, “Mi cumpleaños es en enero” (My birthday is in January).
